Mum stabbed to death by son on eve of Mother's Day

According to Internet Media:   AN 80-year-old woman was stabbed to death yesterday on the eve of Mother’s Day.

Her 53-year-old son was later arrested on suspicion of murder.

The body was discovered at the woman’s home in ­Barrowby, near Grantham, Lincs, yesterday morning by police called to a ­disturbance.

An initial post-mortem revealed the woman had died of stab wounds. ­Relatives were being ­contacted ­yesterday.

A police spokeswoman last night said: “A 53-year-old ­Lincolnshire man has been arrested in the South Wales area on suspicion of murder and is currently being ­transported to Lincolnshire for interview.”
