This high budget affair starring Jackie Shroff, Sonu Sood, Pooja Bedi and Nassar is directed by Meher Ramesh. Expectations are high for the film shot on location in Egypt and India. Will this film be a good idea after watching India versus Sri Lanka tomorrow? Let’s see.

Set to an Egyptian backdrop, Shakti (NTR) is on a mission to save India from the clutches of villains somehow intent on dominating the sub-continent. Dressed in Egyptian clothes? Evil war merchants, heroes looking for magic swords – you see the plot don’t you? If you can call chaos a plot theme?
A bit brainless, and for a high budgeted flick, perhaps not your best movie value this weekend. NTR is a super talented actor, but the script of this his Telugu film is not right for him. Any budding and upcoming dodo bird could have done as well. If not for the performances of some supporting cast, this one might not be worth your time of day, but entertainment value might be derived from other elements.
From all appearances the money spent making this film went into NTR’s salary, the great cinematography, the special effects, and particularly the great sound track.
