Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: How the rising star topped the Maxim Hot 100

According to Internet Media:   Rosie Huntington-Whiteley beat Katy Perry, Natalie Portman, Kate Middleton and 96 other women to top Maxim’s Hot 100, leaving many to ask, “Who is she?”

Although the list might seem like a dubious honor to some, it remains a high-profile platform for women in the entertainment business. Since the list began in 2000, most list-toppers have been well-known celebs, including Katy Perry, Olivia Wilde, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson and Eva Longoria (twice.) So why did the top spot go to relative newcomer Huntington-Whiteley, a model and star of the upcoming summer blockbuster, “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”?

Joe Levy, Maxim’s editor in chief, weighed in via the magazine’s press office, saying, “Rosie is a true transformer — a Victoria’s Secret stunner who is about to go supernova when she takes over for Megan Fox in the ‘Transformers’ franchise. Her talent is as undeniable as her beauty, which is pretty jaw-droppingly undeniable.”

Royal Wedding coverage

According to Internet Media:   Prince William and Kate Middleton got their first royal wedding present from the queen on Friday: the titles Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

Buckingham Palace said William is now His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge, and that Miss Catherine Middleton is now Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge.

There's more: The palace statement said William was also named the Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus. Middleton took those titles when she said "I will," becoming Countess of Strathearn and Baroness Carrickfergus.

Strathearn ties William and Middleton to Scotland, where the pair met and fell in love. Baron Carrickfergus is a little-used title which refers to one of the oldest towns in Northern Ireland.

Kate Middleton's wedding dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen

According to Internet Media:   (CBS) It's the one question everyone was asking, and we didn't find the answer out until the last second - but we now know the designer of Kate Middleton's wedding dress.

The gown is a design by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen's fashion house.

"Miss Middleton chose British brand Alexander McQueen for the beauty of its craftsmanship and its respect for traditional workmanship and the technical construction of clothing," the palace said in a statement. " Miss Middleton wished for her dress to combine tradition and modernity with the artistic vision that characterizes Alexander McQueen's work. Miss Middleton worked closely with Sarah Burton in formulating the design of her dress."

The dress is made from ivory and white satin gazar, and the bodice and skirt feature hand-cut English lace and French Chantilly lace. The train measures almost nine feet long.
