Looks like Britney Spears won't be playing the Castro after all, y'all.
San Francisco officials, concerned about the prospects of bad weather, have nixed plans to have Spears perform at noon Sunday in front of the Castro Theatre, as part of a "Good Morning America" segment to air Tuesday. Jive Records, Spears' label, said Wednesday that Spears will now perform noon Sunday at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. The show will still be free, but tickets will be required for entrance. Tickets become available at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at www.abcnews.com/gma. It was not known how many tickets will be available. A printed receipt is needed to get into the show.
"Good Morning America" was expected to make more details available Thursday. The new concert will still be part of a "GMA" segment. ABC has said Robin Roberts will be in San Francisco to interview Spears.
