According to Internet Media:   An FDA panel is meeting today to consider a possible link between artificial food colors and hyperactivity in children.
Some scientists believe artificial dyes used in candy, waffles, and even salad dressings, can cause ADHD in children. Food companies using artificial dyes argue they are safe. The panel is expected to call for more research but not ban artificial coloring.

Pregnant women who take a popular pain reliever may put their babies at risk of asthma. New Zealand researchers found that children of women who took acetaminophen during pregnancy had a 21 percent increased risk of asthma or wheezing. Researchers say there is not enough evidence to recommend pregnant women stop using acetaminophen but they say they should use caution.


And a new way to help the medicine go down. Scientists in Ohio have developed a new compound that blocks some of the bitterness receptors on your tongue, making some medicines and foods more appetizing. The compound is a more potent version of one already used to block the aftertaste from artificial sweeteners.
